Passwords and Logins

Lost passwords and logins are an ongoing problem for most law firms, especially whenever there is staff turnover. With the explosion of digital assets, keeping track of passwords, user names and logins is no longer something you can do in your head, or on scrap pieces of paper.

We strongly recommend the use of a secure password archiving solution such as LastPass, which is what we use ourselves. Pricing starts as low as $2 per month for this service, so there is no longer any excuse for ever losing or compromising your logins.

If your login credentials are no longer working, or you cannot find them, you can usually use the “forgot password” utility to retrieve them. If this does not work, you may have to call the service provider for additional help.

For security purposes, we do NOT keep records of your passwords, so please do NOT submit a support ticket asking for your logins to your blog, social media accounts, Google, etc.

Remember, if you change your password for any reason, this can result in “breaking” connections with any of your social sharing platforms, including IFTTT. If this happens, you will need to log into the respective accounts and update your password to restore the connection.
